Wow... very interesting! And I must say that I like the original idea for the day a lot!
I read that Mother's Day was actually started by a grumpy lady who never had children herself, and who later said she detested all the greeting cards and commercialism of it. Pretty ironic.
I sent flowers to my mom. So it's commercial. It makes her happy.
