A tropical depression began to form in the South China Sea at the end of the weekend. On Monday, Hong Kong Observatory noted that the as yet unnamed tropical cylone was close enough to merit raising the standby signal Number 1.
Today, the strong wind warning Number 3 was raised. Tropical Storm Kammuri is heading northwest and will pass to the west of a little island during Wednesday morning.
Currently? It is the proverbial calm before the storm.
