Yes, the Number 3 was up when I took the photo (Thursday, 5:17pm).
Tung Wan Bay can be quite choppy when the wind is blowing in from the southwest. Yesterday, there was an added swell which produced some pleasing waves that crashed and pushed the tide higher up the beach.
It's 7:47pm, Friday, Hong Kong Observatory has just downgraded to a Number 1 but advises that:
"As Megi approaches the south China coast, it is expected that the water level in Hong Kong will rise to around half metre above the normal (i.e. around 2.7 metres above the Chart Datum) before midnight tonight."
