The Day After
At 7:00am this morning the temperature touched 4.9°C . . . but the sun was just beginning to poke above the horizon, the humidity was around 30%, and the bitterly cold, strong wind had died down.
Lo and behold, a sun bright day; late afternoon the thermometer was reading 17°C. In a word, gorgeous.

6.8°C
Hong Kong Observatory warned that a cold front was heading this way from the north. Were they right, oh yes.
The cold front rushed down and overnight, the temperature dropped by 10°+C -- from 17°C to 6.8°C.
Il fait froid.

From the Ministry of Truth (7 December 2010):
New media has empowered citizens around the world to report on their circumstances, express opinions on world events, and exchange information in environments sometimes hostile to such exercises of individuals’ right to freedom of expression. At the same time, we are concerned about the determination of some governments to censor and silence individuals, and to restrict the free flow of information. We mark events such as World Press Freedom Day in the context of our enduring commitment to support and expand press freedom and the free flow of information in this digital age.U.S. to Host World Press Freedom Day in 2011 Press Statement, Philip J.
