I am totally fascinated that you can be paid to cry at somebodies funeral you didnt even know. I wonder if there is such a thing as a designer Crier???

To my knowledge, that doesn't happen here on a little island in the South China Sea.

If any tears are shed, they are by family, friends, work colleagues, acquaintances.

I know professional mourners were common in Europe until Victorian times. In England, for instance, Charles Dickens mentions them in Oliver Twist.

Do Hong Kong Chinese employ professional mourners?
