Today was the hottest day of the year, so far. At Hong Kong Observatory, the temperature reached 34.6C. On a little island in the South China Sea, the thermometer hovered a tad below 33C during this afternoon.
Territory-wide, another record was also broken: today, the air pollution was the worst, ever.
[rant] Manufacturers make money, shoppers in the USA, Europe and elsewhere buy goods at affordable prices. The real, external costs of all that commerce and trade are, however, borne locally: the air we breathe is chock-a-block with ozone, nitrous dioxide and 'respirable suspended particulates'. [/rant]

Back in business.
A trip to town and onward to Hennessy Road and the Wanchai Computer Centre. Computer heaven is two (or is it three) floors of loads of shops selling everything and anything to do with computers: notepads, laptops, desktops, motherboards, CPUs, fans, RAM, mice, video cards, sound cards, cabling, routers, modems, wifi stuff, monitors, blank discs. . .
Got out of there with a new keyboard. . . and a hard disc enclosure + 160GB hard disc as well as a couple of 4GB memory sticks.
Yeah!
